If you didn't know by now, Warner Bros. and DC recently announced 9 dates for 9 different comic book films leading up to 2020. No titles had been confirmed as of yet but according to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has hired two writers to pen completely different scripts for an Aquaman movie. Will Beall who wrote Gangster Squad (2013) and Kurt Johnstad who wrote 300: Rise Of An Empire will be working on their own scripts for the king of Atlantis.
The idea being they could use the best script for production or mash the two together. Plus Will Beall has experience with the DC canon as he was hired to write one of the drafts for the Justice League movie.
However Warner Bros. has not confirmed anything at the moment so for now it's just rumour and speculation. But with Jason Momoa to make an appearance in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice ,and rumours flying that he will be playing Aquaman, this doesn't seem that far fetched.
