Ever since his role in Gareth Edwards Monsters, McNairy has been in demand of late. He's gone onto star in Argo, Frank and David Fincher's Gone Girl (Awaiting Release).
It's unclear at this point what role he has in the superhero sequel and even Warner Bros. have been "cagey" about if he is involved in the film.
Dawn Of Justice will pick up from the events of Man Of Steel and will be, what most people assume, about the repercussions of Superman's city levelling conflict with General Zod. Most of the Man of Steel cast will return with inclusion of Jesse Eissenberg as Lex Luthor, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, oh and of course Ben Affleck as Batman.
Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice is set for a 2016 release.
