The first trailer for Australian crime thriller Felony has been released today after it's stint across various film festivals, including the Toronto Film Festival.
Starring Joel Edgerton (Warrior, The Great Gatsby) as Malcolm “Mal” Toohey, an Australian police officer who after being shot on the job accidentally runs over a little boy on his way home. Instead of admitting his involvement when he reports the incident out of fear for his career, things get more complicated when two detectives – Carl Summer (Tom Wilkinson) and Jim Melic (Jai Courtney) – show up to investigate the accident. They both soon catch on to the fact that Malcolm isn't telling the whole truth and Carl helps him, believing a good cop shouldn't have his career smeared for an accident, whereas Jim believes in going by the book.
Written by Joel Edgerton himself and directed by Matthew Saville, the film hit's Australian cinemas 28th August but with no International release scheduled at this current time.
